Fantastic Fun with Folds
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Fantastic Fun Folds and 3D Projects. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
My featured fold is a Point-to-Point fold using the beautiful Peaceful Place DSP (check out the end of my post for the number). It’s a super simple fold that packs a big WOW! I have two versions of the fold today. While I was finishing up, I came up with a third but that will need to wait until Saturday. So, let’s get started.
You’re looking at the front, before it’s been opened. The front label is cut from one of the DSP sheets. After that, I fussy cut another set of trees from the same piece of DSP and popped it up over the other trees to give some dimension.
Below left shows the card when opened. Since there isn’t much room to write without ruining the view, I placed the greeting on the back of the card.
I love this fold. However, the drawback is the narrow writing space. Enter a more dramatic, Version Two.
Version 2: I glued down the label after placing a coordinating piece of DSP behind it. I love the contrast. The darker gray background really make the 3-d Pine Trees Pop!
If you like these two, you’ll love version three, featuring a hidden gift card holder. Would you like a tutorial for all three versions? Just leave a message on this post. Tutorials will go out this weekend.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on November 10th. Our theme will be “Home for the Holidays” when our Design Team creates a project to celebrate the upcoming holidays. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
