Folding Fun for Creative Creases
- Join In the Fun! It’s easy…. create a card that features a fold other than the usual. Take a photo and add it to the challenge using this link. https://wp.me/p4bS0N-7R0 You don’t even need a blog!

This week I’m featuring a “Double Triangle Fold”. I do believe this is one of the easiest Fun Folds to create. You can load it up with layers or make it simple and sweet. It’s your choice.
Believe it or not, one 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock will make two of these card bases. Here’s how….
- Score cardstock in half at 5-1/2″
- Rotate cardstock 90 degrees and score at 4-1/4″
- Line-up the cardstock diagonally on the cutting track of your cutter. Cut so you have two large triangles, like the photo below.
Now, cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 4″ x 5-1/4″. Cut in half, diagonally. Affix to front of the card flaps.
Decorate the front. Your decoration can be a grouping, like I did here; or a simple medallion. “Sticky”Tip: I affixed the “grid” background with Stampin’ Seal+, creating a sticky background. Then, when building my layers, I didn’t have to use liquid glue on the first layers.
Assembly Tip: Affix the decoration to the top flap giving it weight to keep the bottom flap from flopping out.
You may have noticed a few projects using the Season of Chic bundle and coordinating Texture Chick Designer Series Paper on my recent posts. I absolutely love these shabby chic products. The colors are so vibrant and varied.

Only one thing left to do… finish the inside. Stamp a greeting on Basic White cardstock cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″. Affix to coordinating cardstock cut to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Adhere this layered piece to the inside of your card. Decorate one of the flaps by stamping a few background images and layering with a few die-cuts from the bundle.
Now, wasn’t that easy?
