Autumn Colors Come Together with Pals
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is a Color Challenge. Using Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow, the Design Team has created some great projects that you will all want to see. We hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Autumn and wreaths seem to belong together, along with shabby projects. This project started out clean but somehow the ink just couldn’t stay away.
The perfect wreath this year is the Cottage Wreath Bundle. With all of the detail elements, you’ll have wreaths year round! Pair it with the Deckled Rectangle Dies and you have a the foundation for a fantastic fall project.
Project Nuts and Bolts:
This card is pretty straight forward. But here are the steps if you need them.
- Card Base – Crumb Cake CS 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″; scored at 4-1/4″. Smudge with Crumb Cake Classic Ink.
- Layer 1 – Mossy Meadow CS cut with Deckled Edge Die. Smudge with Mossy Meadow Classic Ink.
- Layer 2 – Crumb Cake CS cut with Deckled Edge Die. Smudge with Crumb Cake Classic Ink.
- Wreaths – Die cut one in each from Cajun Craze, Mango Melody CS. Die cut two from Mossy Meadow CS. Smudge all with coordinating Classic Ink colors. Layer the Mossy Meadow wreaths over a peace of Crumb Cake CS.
- Build the front of the card –
- Adhere everything together except the Mossy Meadow wreath using Multi Purpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Seal+.
- Wrap Linen Thread around the entire card three times, tying with a knot in the front center.
- Adhere the Mossy Meadow Wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Make a large bow with three long strands of twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. Adhere with Liquid Glue.
- Stamp “Grateful” on Very Vanilla CS with Cajun Craze Classic Ink. Trim and flag the ends and adhere to center of top wreath with Multi Purpose Liquid Glue.
- Inside…
- Die cut Very Vanilla with Deckled Edge Die.
- Stamp sentiment with Cajun Craze Classic Ink
- Die Cut little leaves from Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Mango Melody CS. Adhere to Very Vanilla piece with Multi Purpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere entire piece to inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal+
Want a cleaner look? Use Basic White or Very Vanilla CS for the card base and leave out the smudging.
Now let’s check out the other projects by visiting my fellow Pals. Just click the next person on the list. Don’t forget, we love to get your comments.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on November 9th when the theme will be Home for the Holidays.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.
