Pumpkins and Creases for Challenge #44
Welcome to the Creative Creases Challenge #44. We’re ready to inspire you to create some great folded creations. You never know who you will inspire with your own creation.
My project is for my fellow pumpkin lovers. I’ve seen these cute little Rosette Pumpkins from time to time and couldn’t wait to make them. Lots of creases, that’s for sure.
Here’s what you need.
- Designer Series Paper – 12 x 12 (1 sheet)
- Cardstock Scraps (Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla used here)
- Miscellaneous pieces of ribbon
- Small twig
- Inks (Cajun Craze & Soft Suede)
- Blending Brush
- Score Board & Bone folder
- Paper Trimmer
- Hole Punch
- Hot Melt Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Assembly:
- Using Score Board, score the 12×12 Designer Series Paper every 1/4″
- Place the scored DSP on Stampin’ Trimmer with score lines in horizontal direction
- Cut Strips:1″ x 12″ (1 piece)
- 1-1/4″ x 12″ (2 pieces)
- 1-1/2″ x 12 ( 3 pieces)
- Punch 6 each, 1-1/4″ circles from scrap cardstock
- Accordion fold each piece and glue ends together to create a circle
- Push scored circles down to create the rosette, attach to a 1-1/4″ circle with Hot Glue.
- Build your pumpkin as follows:
- Adhere one of the 1-1/2″ rosettes to one of the 1-1/4″ rosettes with hot glue.
- Adhere one of the 1-1/2″ rosettes on top of the last 1-1/2″ rosette. Repeat with the last 1-1/2″ rosette
- Adhere one 1-1/4″ rosette to the top of 1-1/2″ rosette.
- Adhere one 1″ Rosette to the top.
- Hot glue a small twig to the top with Hot Melt Glue
- Create a tag, tie it one with ribbon
- Cut tiny strips of Mossy Meadow Cardstock. Wrap tightly around a pen or pencil. Slide off and attach around the twig, with hot glue.
- Create tag, attach with ribbons.
I plan to use these for Place Cards on Thanksgiving. What would you use them for?

AH-mazing, Rae! Such a great 3D decor piece for autumn! It’s perfect for Thanksgiving and using only one sheet of DSP? I sure have a lot of that I can spare! LOL Have a great weekend, my friend!
Thank you Debbie. I’ll be making more…. maybe even some Christmas Trees.
Wow, Rae, that sure was a lot of folding! I think your pumpkins are so cute and creative. TFS.
That it is Karen. Thank you so much.
