Dainty Flowers Bouquet of Kindness
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, our blog hop team made projects to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week, which is February 14-20! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
When this theme came up I initially thought, “How can a handmade card serve as a Random Act of Kindness?” (RAK). I’ll answer that with another question. Have you ever handed a card to someone for no particular reason? I have. At first, shock. Then, most of the time, a big smile followed by “Thank you.” Try giving handmade card featuring a spring bouquet of Dainty Flowers to a lonely Senior Citizen some time. A card, with a handwritten note inside, may be treasured for a long time.
Let’s start with the beautiful paper, Dainty Flowers and the Framed Florets Bundle.
Instructions Start Here |
Now, let’s make the card.
Cuts:
- Basic White Thick CS: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Card Base ; score at 4-1/4″
- Mossy Meadow CS: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Crushed Curry CS: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
- Basic White CS: 3-3/4″ x 5″
- Basic White Scrap: 4″ x 4″ for die cutting.
- Dainty Flowers DSP: Fussy cut one oval floral display
Assembly:
- Fold card base. Adhere Mossy Meadow and Crushed Curry pieces as shown.
- Dry Emboss Basic White piece and adhere to the top of the Crushed Curry piece
- Adhere the Fussy Cut oval
- Die cut Basic White scrap with Oval Die. I used the Framed Florets smallest oval. When you die cut the frame the perfect oval for this card pops out of the center.
- Stamp greeting on oval with Mossy Meadow Classic Ink. Adhere to center of floral oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adorn with wood pieces, gems, die cuts or ribbon. The wood pieces I used are retired. If you decide to use wood, you can color them with Stampin’ Write markers or Stampin’ Blends.
- Stamp the inside of the card with stamps from the set and you’re ready to deliver your Random Act of Kindness card.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on March 8th, when our theme will be Party Time, showcasing cards/projects that celebrate our family and friends.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.
