Tropical Twist for Fun Fold Blog Hop

Welcome to our March 2023 Fun Folds Blog Hop. Spring is here and we’re ready for the weather to agree with the calendar. Right?! Beautiful colors please! My Fun Fold project is a Twisted Easel card featuring the new Tropical Leaf Bundle (#161249), This bundle is part of the new Online Exclusives line.

Tropical leaves floating over a wash of beautiful color from the Dainty Flower DSP (2023 Sale-A-Bration) is just what the doctor ordered to send the winter blues packing!

This is one of the easiest folds I’ve ever done. Yes, I always seem to say how easy fun folds are. However, this one is so easy, you won’t have to refer back to instructions when you want to create one. Honest!

Let’s find out just how easy this is!

Nuts & Bolts

Paper Cuts:

Thick Basic White or other cardstock for card base: 5-1/2″ x 11 (1 piece) plus scraps for stamping leaves
Designer Series Paper (DSP): 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ (1 piece)

Construction:

Score card base in half and fold
Score the top of your card base at a diagonal from the top right corner to the bottom left corner (see photo), Fold and burnish.

Cut DSP diagonally to match the panels on the card base. Adhere to card base.
Create Easel “stopper”. Pop up the desired image or greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used one of the punched leaves.
Decorate as desired, inside and out.

Tip: This technique can be done with any size card base. Mine is a 5-1/2″ square card.
