Celebrate Flowers with Pals
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Flowers in the Garden. We hope you are inspired by all the wonderful creations the Pals share with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we love reading your comments. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
My project is inspired by the beautiful dahlias from our yard where I grew up. Inspiration is everywhere.
The laser cut medallions from the Colorful Kaleidoscope Kit (#161804) remind me of those dahlias. What do you think?
The Colorful Kaleidoscope Kit is all inclusive. What does that mean? Everything you need to make the cards (as shown in kit instruction sheet) is included in the kit. Adhesives, stamps, acrylic block, ink, embellishments, envelopes, card bases….. everything. Take a peek below.
Project Nuts & Bolts
Paper Cuts:
- Cardstock – Blackberry Bliss 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ plus scraps for banner; Basic White 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
- Designer Series Paper – 1-1/4″ x 5″ (1 pc); 3-3/4″ x 5″
- Pieces from Kit – Petal Pink laser cut piece and die cut label.
Construction:
- Affix small Designer Series Paper to Laser Cut piece from kit.
- Stamp desired greeting on die-cut piece from kit with Blackberry Bliss ink.
- Cut a narrow piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock to place behind the greeting from step 2. See card photo. Adhere to card as shown.
- Affix gold gems from kit to centers of medallions and ends of greeting piece.
- Use Dimensional strips from kit to adhere the piece assembled in steps 1 through 4 to card base front.
- Finish the inside with the larger piece of Designer Series Paper and Basic White cardstock.
How will you celebrate flowers from the garden this spring?
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team; The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on May 10th, when our theme will be a Tic Tac Toe challenge, where our Design Team will create projects, using elements/supplies that are three in a row, column, or diagonal from the tic tac toe board.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Thank you Mary. My great uncle was well known for developing new strains back in the 50’s and 60’s. We would go to the state fair and look for his ribbons… mostly Blue. 😉
Very clever, stylized flowers, Rae!
