Daisy Steps for Creative Creases #57
Ready for another Creative Creases Challenge? If you’ve never participated, we hope you feel inspired to make today the day to start. Let’s get started.
Today we will use the Fresh as a Daisy Suite (#161301) to create this Faux Step Card…. Daisy Steps. You will also need cardstock in Basic White (thick and thin) as well as one of the new core colors, Pecan Pie.
Nuts & Bolts
Paper Cuts & Scores:
- Card Base is Basic White Thick Cardstock – 4-1/4″ x 9″ scored at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″ and 5-3/4″.
- 2nd Base is Basic White Thick Cardstock – 2-1/2″ x 9″ scored at 4-1/2″.
- Basic White Cardstock for die cuts
- Pecan Pie Cardstock – 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″; 3″ x 4″; 4″ x 1″. Extra for die cut.
- DSP 2″ x 4″; 3-3/4″ x 2-3/4″. See finished card for the sheet I used.
Construction:
- Fold and burnish the card base on score lines. Refer to the photo above.
- Fold and burnish the 2nd Base.
- Layer Pecan Pie and DSP adhering to each other with your favorite glue. Adhere these pieces to the corresponding panel on the card.
- Adhere the front and back of the 2nd base to the cardstock base with a strong adhesive
- Stamp greeting on the die-cut label with Pebbled Path ink.
- Layer flowers and adhere to the front panel as desired.
- Adhere the greeting label to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Decorate with gems.
