Mysterious Purple for Pals October 2023 Blog Hop
Mysterious Purple
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is The Color Purple. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Purple…. what’s it all about?
“The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.”
Creative Magic sums up what we do with paper, don’t you think?
Just a hint of purple magic brightens up this Paper Pumpkin (September 2023) alternate project. Can you spot all of the Gorgeous Grape (purple) in my card? The answer a little later in this post.
The inside shows how Lost Lagoon and Gorgeous Grape compliment each other.
Why Purple? Paper Pumpkin September 2023, (With Love & Gratitude), comes with little treat packages to assemble. Call me crazy but I saw a hint of lavender in the paper used for these treat packages.
Deconstruct one of the treat packages to use as layers for your card.
- Open the “treat package” to lay flat.
- Cut one of the large panels with your trimmer. It should measure approximately 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″.
- Save the flaps to use with the front greeting.
Nuts & Bolts
- Finished Size: A2 (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″)
- Card Base: Basic White (thick) 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4
- Mat #1: Crumb Cake (3-3/4″ x 5″)
- Mat #2: Gorgeous grape (3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″)
- Top: Piece of DSP cut from the Treat Package (3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″)
- Additional Gorgeous Grape pieces: Background square 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ plus scraps
Mystery Solved! Where is all of the Gorgeous Grape (purple) in my project?
- Mat behind the front layer
- Small square behind the floral bouquet. It’s almost invisible
- Sprays of thin cardstock glued in place
- Greeting and mat behind it
- Inside spray of leaves
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month (second Wednesday), when our theme will be Home for the Holidays.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.
