I’m featuring an accordion fold card using Handcrafted Elements Dies #162330 from Stampin’ Up! Because this die set has more than just holiday ornament dies, you can use it year-round. Let’s get started with this Handcrafted Gold Accordion Fold for CC69.
Handcrafted Gold Accordion Fold for CC69
The Fold
As mentioned earlier, this is an accordion fold. This fold is one of the easier fun folds you’ll find. So easy to dress it up into something elegant. Three scores on the card base and you’ve got this one made.
Project Nuts & Bolts
Paper Cuts
- Card Base: Very Vanilla Thick card stock 5-1/2″ x 10-1/4″; score at 4-1/5″, 7-1/4″ and 9″
- Ornament: Very Vanilla and Gold 12″ x 12″ Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper #162288
- DSP Panels: Shining Brightly Specialty DSP #162378 See photo below
- Panel 1 = 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″
- Panel 2 = 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
- Panel 3 = 1-1/4″ x 5-1/4″
- Panel 4 = 1″ x 5-1/4″ (Gold Glimmer Mat = 1-1/8″ x 5-3/8″)
Other Supplies:
- Handcrafted Elements Dies #162330
- Christmas Classics Stamp Set #161970
- Tear and Tape adhesive or Stampin’ Seal +
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Liquid Glue
- Real Red Classic Ink
- Very Vanilla Envelope
- Small piece of gold cord or other twine
Construction:
- Fold on all your scores and burnish with a bone-folder.
- Using the picture above and Paper Cuts list as a guide, layer all of your DSP pieces and affix to the card base where indicated.
- Die Cut the ornament pieces and adhere to the top panel of the card
- Make a loop with the cord and glue in place
- Stamp the greeting on the inside of the card with Real Red Classic Ink
