Anything Goes Fun Fold Blog Hop-November 2023
Welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop
with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!
November 2023
Can you believe it’s almost Christmas? It’s time to kick holiday prep and shopping into high gear. This fun fold will give you a beautiful presentation for the gift cards you need to send. It’s called a Double Pocket Card.
Double pockets, double duty. Many times you’ll see this fold with two tags. I opted to use the front pocket for a gift card instead.
The back of the tag can be used for a message OR you could just use the back of the card.
DRATS! Have you ever finished a card and then discovered something that would make it better? You’re not alone. Here’s my step-up idea. Look at the corners on the back of the card. Imagine placing a little square of Gold Glimmer behind each punched corner. That would really finish it off. I tried to lift up the corners after the glue was dry, to no avail. I’ll do a post tomorrow showing itI
Nuts & Bolts
Finished Size: A2 (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″)
I have a video from SplitCoast Stampers to share with you after a few tips on my card.
The Paper! Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper. Get it before it’s gone!
The Dies!
Tips for Focal piece: Refer to the graphic above for die-cuts.
- Better Cuts! Place the glimmer side face down on your plate. You’ll get a better cut AND it won’t line-up exactly with the Basic White panel. Normally, you wouldn’t want this. However, this time it works.
- Shadow/Highlight! Adhere the two die-cuts together with the Gold Glimmer paper underneath. Apply liquid glue to the square part of the die cut only.
- Save the Glimmer! Cut the Glimmer Paper Square (on front) from the bottom layer of Glimmer Paper.
- Better Adhesion! I have found that liquid glue works best when adhering items to Glimmer Paper.
- Space Saver! Use Your Tools! The video shows a score board to make your scores. Your Stampin’ Trimmer has everything you need to accomplish precise scores. Give it a try.
BEWARE! The products I used in my Fun Fold today are retiring soon. Don’t wait and be disappointed!

Beautiful card, Rae! Love the double fold!
Thank you Michelle!
Rae, I love your fun fold. The double pocket with the tag is a great idea! The paper is stunning…I have it, but yet to use it. You’ve inspired me to do that!
Thank you Kathleen. Inspiration is what it’s all about.
Thank you, Rae, for sharing the link on how to create your beautiful fun fold. I love that DSP and the stamp set. I own neither one! I will be asking myself why in the future!
Karen…. Thank and you’re welcome. SplitCoast has some great videos for sure. I almost didn’t purchase the paper. So glad I did!
Gorgeous card, Rae! Those dies make lovely details for holiday cards. I need to try this fun fold because the diagonal pocket really adds so much detail. Thanks for joining the blog hop this month!
Thank you Debbie. I’m definitely keeping this bundle.
Stunning card! I love that the receiver could use the tag as a bookmark! TFS HAHA just read Mary’s comment… Great minds
Tara…. Next time I plan to mention the bookmark idea. Thank you so much.
