Fun Family Occasions for Pals May 2024 Blog Hop
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is “Fun Family Occasions.” We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Yesterday I gave you a “Sneak Peek” of today’s project and here it is. A simple card inspired by the memory of a great weekend in the Pine Nut Range in Northern Nevada…. close to home. A photo of that day is posted later in this post, as promised.
The beautiful colors of the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (DSP) alone are inspiring. You’ll see patterns and colors that reflect all seasons. This one reminds me of Autumn in Northern Nevada.
The inside features an image stamped with Basic Beige Classic Ink on matching cardstock. The tone-on-tone image adds just enough decoration without reducing writing space. Interesting how the stamped image picks up the Mossy Meadow card base.
A complete list of products used can be found at the end of this post.
Nuts & Bolts

- Card base: Mossy Meadow Cardstock – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4 on long edge; plus extra for die-cuts

Instructions
- Start by folding and burnishing the card base
- Adhere the Wild Wheat Layer to the front of the card base

- Adhere the DSP pieces to the Wild Wheat layer leaving a border of 1/8″ around all pieces.
- Die-cut foliage from cardstock and DSP. Layer and adhere over the DSP layer with Liquid Glue leaving some ends loose.
- Stamp a greeting with Mossy Meadow Classic Ink on a piece of Basic Beige Cardstock. Fussy Cut.
- Layer the greeting over a scrap of Cajun Craze Cardstock. Fussy cut around leaving a small border.
- Adhere the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Snip a little piece of Basic Beige ribbon, fold and glue together with a glue dot. Tuck under the greeting and adhere with Liquid Glue
- Finish off the front with gems
- Stamp an image on the inside piece with Basic Beige classic ink. Adhere to the inside of the card.
