Creative Creases Challenge #85 where Anything Goes with a Fun Fold!

A new week, a new Creative Creases Challenge and and a brand new badge. Love it! We sure hop you can join us.  Do fun folds sound intimidating?  We’ll inspire you until you’re confident to try one yourself. My fold today is about as simple and straight forward as they come. Give it a try.

This project is built around the beautiful colors and die-cuts of Flowers & Frames Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). What makes this DSP special?  It isn’t foiling, glitter or embossed accents. Give up?  It IS all of the frames and die-cuts that make short-work of your projects.  The wreaths on the front and the little flowers on the inside are all die-cuts from the package.

Let’s take a closer look at some of those die-cuts.

Nuts & Bolts

Paper Cuts

• Card Base: Thick Basic White 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
• Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 11″; score at 3/4″ and 5-1/2″; 1″ x 3″
• Focal Piece: Basic White 4″x4″ for die cut.
• Inside Panel: Basic White 3″ x 4″ for inside.

Construction

1. Dry Emboss Card Base with Dashing Dots 3D or your favorite Embossing Folder
2. Fold DSP at 5-1/2″ score line. Fold up at the 3/4″ score line so the reverse side of the DSP shows.  Glue down. Then, adhere the entire piece to the card base, lining up the top fold with the top of the card base.
3. Adhere the 1″ x 3″ DSP piece to card base below the folded piece.
4. Layer two wreath die-cuts with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Glue entire wreath to the top of the Folded Piece
5. Die Cut Basic White with Spotlight on Nature about 2-1’2″ circle Die.
6. Stamp greeting on Die Cut piece with Garden Green Classic Ink.
7. Embellish inside with floral die-cuts and outside with gems
