Winterly Treetops Easel Fold for Creative Creases #91
Welcome to Creative Creases Edition #91 where Anything Goes with Fun Fold. Today’s Wild West project is an Easel Card created with the Winterly Treetops bundle and Nests of Winter DSP. These little birds are so sweet.
What I Love:
- One sheet in the Designer Series Paper (DSP) has a beautiful border printed on each opposing sides. The center looks like little drops of moisture falling from the sky. I used it on the front of my card.
- The bird dies can be either stamped and die-cut OR used to die-cut matching images on the DSP.
The die-cut bird duo is attached on the bottom front panel only allowing them to pop-up when the card is displayed.
Nuts & Bolts
Finished Size – A2 (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″)
Paper Cuts & Scores –
- Card Base: Whisper White Cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″; score on long side at 2-1/8″and 4-1/4″
- Top DSP Panels: 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ (cut 2) plus scrap for the folded corner
- Inside DSP Panel: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Inside Writing Panel: 3-3/4″ x 5″
- Additional Pieces:
- Bird DSP that fit the dies;
- Additional DSP for fussy-cutting if desired
- Scrap Basic White Cardstock for greeting
- Copper Clay Cardstock for die-cutting bird shapes
Construction
- Fold and burnish both scores.
- Affix Top DSP Panels with Seal
- Adhere Inside DSP Panel with Seal
- Adhere Writing Panel to DSP with Seal
- Fold bottom right corner up and burnish well. Affix with Stampin’ Dimensional to keep the corner down.
- Die-cut one large bird from DSP and again from Copper Clay Cardstock. Offset the Copper Clay Cardstock to create a shadow affect under the DSP bird. Adhere together with liquid glue. Adhere the bird to the inside left corner with liquid glue.
- Die-cut one of the 2-bird groups with corresponding die. Die-Cut the same shape again from Copper Clay Cardstock. Follow the same method as described in Step 6 to create the 2-bird piece. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach only the bottom half of this bird group to the front, bottom panel of the card.
- Stamp greeting on Basic White Cardstock scrap with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Fussy cut and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the front as shown.
- Decorate with Cherry Cobbler Gems and additional fussy cut DSP pieces.
All done in less than 10 steps! Now that’s wild!
