Legendary Birthday, Ride On!
Today’s “Guy Card” is a throwback from 2023. Although the patterned paper is no longer available, the Legendary Ride Stamp Set (#160754) and Dies (#160762) as well as the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder (#160766) are! Yay!
The fun-fold featured here is called a “W V”. Take a look at the picture below to see why.
Nuts & Bolts
Paper Cuts
Heavy Cardstock:
- Card base (also called the “W” piece) – 5-1/2″ x 11″ (1 piece); score at 1-3/4″, 3-1/2″, 5-1/4″ & 7″
- “V” piece – 3″ x 6″ (1 piece); score at 3″
- Focal Piece – 3″ x 3″ (1 piece)
Lightweight Cardstock for matting DSP: (like Basic White)
- 1-3/8″ x 5-1/8″ (4 pieces)
- 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ ( 2 pieces)
- Banner: 1-1/2″ x 3″ (1 piece for die-cut)
- Writing Panel – 3-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ (1 piece)
Motorcycle Cardstock:
- Size and colors depend on your color scheme. I used Very Vanilla (retired) for the base layer and Pumpkin Pie for the fenders.
Designer Series Paper:
- 1-1/4″ x 5″ (4 pieces)
- 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (2 pieces)
Construction
- Fold and burnish all scores lines.
- The “W” piece will be folded like an accordian
- The “V” piece will be folded in half
- Adhere all mat pieces to DSP pieces. Then, adhere to the appropriate panels.
- Adhere the “V” piece to the inside of the first “W” panel. See Figures 1 & 3 above for placement.
- Completely close the card and glue the remaining edge of the “V” piece to the outside of the “W” panel.
- Stamp inside sentiment onto the “Writing Panel”. Adhere the panel to the card base.
- Stamp “Ride On….” greeting onto banner piece. Trim into end to create a flag.
- Decorate as desired.
Tip to Keep it Wild: Use different DSP patterns from the same collection for each panel.
