Throw WAY-Back Thursday: Vintage Leaves
Welcome to another Throw WAY-back Thursday out here in the Wild West. Today we travel back to October, 2016 when I was the featured designer for Pals Paper Arts.
There’s nothing like a good red, vintage leaves, and a crisp autumn day. Especially when I had the honor of being “Featured Designer” at Pals Paper Arts.
Featured Designers would pick the color pallet or create a design sketch for the week. Vintage leaves and rich, autumn colors are favorites of mine making color choices a breeze this time of year.
Autumn seems to bring out the warmth of gathering with friends. What better way to show a host your appreciation than with a bottle of spirits, home baked bread or other tasty delight. Even better, slip your gift into a cellophane adorned with a beautiful tag?
Get Inky! Now the fun begins. Stamp and die-cut Vintage Leaves. Sponge, distress and emboss pieces for a dirty, distressed look. Crinkled the leaves by scrunching and distressing the edges. Staple the layers to each other. Don’t worry about the staples showing. That’s part of the rustic charm.
Tie it up with ribbon, rope and sequins, add a little tag and you’re ready to share.
Products I used are now retired. If you don’t have them in your arsenal of creative tools, substitute with something else to create your own masterpiece. Just create! Original products used an be found at the end of this post.
Hope you enjoyed our step back in time today. I’d love the hear what you have to say in the comment section.

I love this style…all kinds of texture and colors. Thanks for posting this! BTW, I am a former resident of Nevada. My DH and I taught in Clark County School District for 16 years, but we visited Reno as often as we could.
Thank you Jeena. Great to hear you’re a fellow Nevadan.
Beautiful. That is my all-time favorite set. And my all-time favorite colors
Thank you Linda. This one is definitely a keeper.
