Fun Fold Blog Hop: Strike up the Band!
Welcome to the July 2025 Fun Folds Blog Hop. Ready to Strike up the Band?

You may have seen Bandstand Cards before, but have you seen one that’s Turtle-y Awesome? All this and it still fits into a normal A2 envelope.
These turtles are the perfect companions for this fun-fold. Take a look at all of the cute images you can use to make your own Band Stand.
This super cute suite comes with everything you need to make a variety of adorable cards.
Nuts & Bolts
All measurements are in inches.
Finished Size – A2 (4-1/4 x 5-1/2)
Acronyms & Jargon
- CAS = Clean And Simple
- CASE = Copy And Share Everything
- CS = Cardstock
- DSP = Designer Series Paper (aka patterned paper)
- SDSP = Specialty Designer Series paper
- SIP = Stamp Paper Ink
Paper Cuts
- Cardstock –
- Basic White Thick:
- 5-3/8 x 4-1/4; score on long side at 3/4 and 4-5/8
- 1-1/4 x 7 (cut 2); score at 3/4, 2-1/2, 4-1/2, 6-1/4
- 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 (for die focal piece background)
- Scrap for greeting
- Granny Apple Green:
- Scrap to mat the greeting piece
- Basic White Thick:
- Turtle-y Cute DSP
- Background & Sides:
- 5/8 x 4-1/8 (cut 4)
- 3-3/4 x 4-1/8 (cut 1)
- Foreground Top & Bottom:
- 1-7/8 x 1-1/8 (cut 2)
- 1-5/8 x 1-1/8 (cut 4)
- Fussy or die-cut desired images from DSP
- Background & Sides:
- Other Supplies – See Product Showcase below.
Construction
- Front –
- Fold and burnish card base & white strips.
- Background pieces – Adhere with Stampin’ Seal or other adhesive.
- Foreground strips – Adhere with Stampin’ Seal or other adhesive.
- Attach Foreground Strips
- Turn card base & decorated foreground strips over.
- Line up top edge of base and strips. Center base between the strips. You should have 1/16 inch between the right and left edges of the card base and the score marks on the left and right of the strip. Use Tear & Tape to adhere strips to card base as shown in figures below.
- Repeat step above for bottom strip.
- Back –
- Use Tear & Tape to adhere remaining two side strips of DSP on each side.
- Decorate as desired.
- Focal Piece –
- Crop or die-cut one 2-1/4 inch squares or other shapes.
- Attach image with Stampin Dimensionals.
- Stamp greeting on Basic White. Fussy cut around greeting.
- Adhere to Granny Apple Green scrap with Liquid Glue. Fussy cut again. Don’t forget to leave a little margin.
- Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue
- Embellish and attach securely to front (top and bottom) with Tear & Tape.*

- Add a stabilizing piece of cardstock or acetate (Window Sheet) behind the focal image for additional support.
