A Paper Shirt for Dad
Ok, you’ve gotten really busy, the weeks have flown by and you have no idea what to give Dad for Father’s Day. No problem! If you have a 12″x12″ sheet of Stampin’Up!’s Designer Series Paper and a bone folder, you can make a last minute paper shirt for Dad! No sewing required. In fact, not much more than the paper, a bone folder and of course, the gift card. Or a coupon for a special day with you!
You’ve probably seen these cute Origami shirts around but have you seen the gift card version? There are lots of variations out there.
Designer Series Paper used for these little guys are Epic Day This and That (#130814) and Gingham Gardens (#129310).
The one tool that you absolutely need for this a Bone Folder. Very handy when making sharp creases especially when using heavy paper.
I’ve put together a FREE PDF tutorial for you. This project is one that is much better in video. My intention is to do a video tutorial but being a newcomer to the video camera, I’m having a little trouble figuring out how to film my hands without fumbling over the tripod. So, if you’d like to start getting some Video Tutorials from me sooner than later, I’ll take any advice you’d like to send my way.
Here’s one more for before you go.
