All I want for Christmas
Welcome to the December 2013 Pals Blog Hop. This month the Pals showcase projects featuring tools and supplies you’re sure to find on every crafters’ wish list. You may have started hopping right here or maybe you’ve hopped over from Beth Beard at My little craft blog, Stop #22. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations. By the time you’re through with the hop, you’ll find yourself singing… “All I want for Christmas…”
I LOVE my tools so it’s hard to pick just one. A favorite is the 2-speed Heat Tool offered by Stampin’Up! Why two speeds? The low speed is handy to dry wet inks and delicate papers while the high speed will melt the embossing powder in no time at all.
Imagine what the card above would look like if the beautiful buck was stamped instead of heat embossed. It would still be a nice card but the embossing takes it up a notch to fantastic.
A Heat Tool, a VersaMark ink pad and a little Stampin’ Emboss Powder (Pewter is used in this project) and you’ve got a great gift!
Hope you’ve gotten some great gift-giving tips for your crafty friends and relatives while hopping with us today.
I’m #23, the last stop on the hop but don’t stop now. Start over to see what you may have missed the first time. Starting with #1 on the list, Amy L. Lazzell at Just A Thought…Cards by Amy. Thanks a bunch for hopping with us today. Join the Pals next year for our January 2014 Pals Blog Hop.

I love your card, Rae. You used my favorite colors, too. You are obviously an embossing pro! I may have to get myself a Stampin Up heating tool. I tried embossing years ago & was very frustrated with the results. Maybe it was the tools I was using (big box craft store supplies). Your card sure makes me want to try again!
What a great idea to emboss this stamp, Rae! So many neat techniques on this card — wonderful!
You always have the most creative projects! I love everything about this card…the embossing gives it a holiday feel and distressing and linen thread add a warm, rustic touch. Very nice!
That’s Cool.
I love it! It’s masculine but not so much that I wouldn’t give it to. A girlfriend. I love embossing too. I think it’s magical! Thanks for coordinating the hop!
the distressing – the 3 strips of twine – the embossing – the sponging – the embossed striping – so much detail on a single card!!!
Thank you Martie!
Oh so gorgeous Rae!!! I just love this stamp set, but yet I still resist!!! OY!! Fabulous job my friend!!!
Everything about this card is awesome!
Thank you Diane!
The Pewter Embossing Powder is absolutely perfect for this project. Beautiful card, Rae!
Thanks a bunch Dawn. I played with a few colors and Pewter won hands down.
You know what a fan I am of this stamp set!!! I love the woodsy feeling that it gives. You showcased it beautifully!
Thank you Katy. This year the guys will enjoy the cards too.
Rae, this is a totally fun card! TFS.
Thank you Elaine!
I love your card! The embossing is a great idea for this stamp and the colors showcase this stamp perfectly. Great job!
Thank you so much. I love the plaid in Seasons of Style this year. I wish there would have been more plaids.
You rocked that embossing for sure! The image looks terrific!
Thanks a bunch Linda!
