All that Glimmers
Happy Monday to you! Hope your weekend was full of fall fun. Sure can feel the changes coming. In fact the Iron Man competition at Lake Tahoe was framed by mountains dusted with new fallen snow and the inspiration for this All That Glimmers Mojo Monday post. Put on your sweater, this is a cool one.
Snowflakes are like leaves for me. How so? Snowflakes are symbolic of winter like leaves are to Autumn. And, what would a snowflake be without a little glitz and glimmer?
Use the Festive Flurry Framelits/Stamp Set Bundle to create this shimmering beauty. The stamped images fit the Framelit dies perfectly and the Magnetic Platform for your Big Shot ensure the die doesn’t shift! You’ll love the combination. Each layer is popped up with low profile Stampin’ Dimensionals for added appeal.
The stamp set and Framelits are available separately but why would you want to pay more? Save 15% and get the bundle.
By using Gorgeous Grunge instead of ribbon shown on the sketch, the snowflake remains the focus. A Large Rhinestone placed in the snowflake center and a subtle statement from Sweet Essentials finish it up.

Forgive me for bothering you again, but I really want to case this card! What color inks did you use? Pool Party and Coastal Cabana?
No bother really. Sorry I missed it the first time. I only used Island Indigo Ink. The Grunge Stripes look lighter because they were “stamped off” first. The Papers used were Island Indigo, Whisper White & Silver Glimmer Paper. Hope this helps and thank you for following Wild West Paper Arts. 🙂
Thank you so much!!
Such a stunning card. That snowflake is just beautiful!
Rae, this is beautiful!! I love how you created the layered snowflake.
I’m pinning it too-love it!! Did you use dimensionals between all of the layers of the snowflake? Using Gorgeous Grunge is brilliant! Thank you for the inspiration!
Elisha,
Yes, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals on all layers. Thank you in advance for the pin and the great comment.
What a fantastic snowflake! I love your card–especially the sparkle! 🙂
