Celebrate PPA Challenge 200!
Join us to celebrate PPA challenge 200! Both design teams have joined together to make this week special and you can join the fun. Details are on the Pals Paper Arts Blog so play along with us!
You’ve probably noticed a monochrome theme throughout the challenge samples from all of us. I chose to work with Perfect Plum. Lavender and purple have been favorites of mine since I was a youngster.
There’s a funny story about the evolution of the card you see above. I knew exactly what the card should look like. With Perfect Plum on my mind, I dug in and created this version.
Do you see the problem yet? It doesn’t resemble the sketch for our challenge AT ALL! So much for multi-tasking, eh? Luckily our Design Team Leader reminded us to use the sketch. There I was, at 30 minutes before deadline, ripping and tearing and cutting and, well you get the idea.
This is testimony to inspiration in it’s finest hour. Since I seemed to be on a roll, here’s one more version of the card. This one was created for a dear friend of mine who will remain nameless until I make sure she’s received the card.
Try a monochromatic theme they really turn out beautiful. This is a great time to use your Framelits and simple embellishments for accents.
