Your project can be as simple or intricate as you like. Show off your style or try something new. Above all, have fun.
I decided to keep mine light and simple. These three colors (some of the new In-Colors) make me think of whispers in the wind or summertime sherbet, basically something light and airy. Delightful Dozen and Gorgeous Grunge were the stamps of choice here. Something old, something new. Great mix!
Here’s how it all came together. First, images from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set were stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding Classic Inks on Very Vanilla Card Stock for the background. To keep the Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding light, stamp the image off on scrap paper before applying it on your project.
A scrap piece of Afternoon Picnic DSP (1-3/4″ square) was adhered to the Very Vanilla background piece. Then, before adhering this piece to the card base, I pierced a hole and added a Very Vanilla Candy Dot from the Neutrals Collection with the Brad Base.
The “Cheers” sentiment was stamped with Coastal Cabana Classic Ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla Card Stock then punched with a 1-3/4″ circle punch. A finishing touch was added with Paper-Piercing using circles on the Essentials Paper Piercing Template.
Behind the focal piece you’ll see two small pieces of 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim in Crisp Cantaloupe attached to the “Cheers” focal piece. I love this trim! The focal piece was then affixed to the Very Vanilla background piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish it off, I slipped another half moon of Coastal Cabana Card Stock (leftover from a previous project) behind the “Cheers” piece and adhered it with SNAIL adhesive. The final step was to round opposite corners of both the Coastal Cabana card base and Very Vanilla background piece and adhere them together. The finished size is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (A2 envelope size).
And there you have it, sweet and easy.
