Curvy Keepsake Wooden Box
Are you tired of the Curvy Keepsake Box yet? Sure hope not. I’ve seen so many great ideas for this Thinlit on Pinterest. I created this “wooden” version for a newsletter group I participate in September and am now able to share it with you.
Don’t let the wood texture intimidate you. It’s simple!
- Cut the shape using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlet (#135853)
- Emboss the cut shapes with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#127821)
- Sponge using Stampin’ Sponges (#101610) with matching color ink (Baked Brown Sugar #131174 was used here)
- Assemble and decorate.
Now, wasn’t that easy?
The leaf is created by stamping the image from For All Things (Wood Mount #135152; Clear Mount #135155) with Crushed Curry Classic Ink (#131173) on Naturals White cardstock (#102316).
Make the leaf come alive by using Sponge Daubers (#133773) to add Cajun Craze (#126965) and Blackberry Bliss #133642 to the edges.
The Autumn Wooden Element (#135846) was pressed into Old Olive Classic Ink (#126953) and left to dry. Tie up with a few fibers from the Two-tone Old Olive Trim (#135837) and stamp a sentiment on a strip of 7/8″ Natural Cotton Ribbon (#127844) before attaching with Tombo Multi-purpose Liquid Glue (#110755). Add some Gold Glitz Dazzling Details (#133755) for the grand finale.
You could even write names on the Cotton Ribbon and use as place markers at your Thanksgiving Table.
Now there’s only one thing left to do…. add a yummy treat or two.

Are you cutting off the sides? What type of candy did you put in them? They are adorable.
Sue, no, nothing was cut off on the wooden box. I actually used it for a small gift box, a necklace or earrings. Thank you for the great comment and compliment.
this is a great box idea. But I really want to get in to the monster private page but the password doesn’t work for me.
Norma,
Look for an email from me. Just want to make sure you’re typing the password correctly.
