Do I Snow You?
Welcome to Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge PPA181 and Happy Thanksgiving. I have one question for you. Is the little creature on the tag a porcupine or a hedge hog? I’d really like to know. He sure is cute whatever he is. I can just imagine that he’s saying, “Do I snow you?”
You won’t find this set in the catalog. It’s the November “Best of” stamp set and it’s a cute one. December’s set will be released on the 1st. I wonder what it will be? The sentiment is part of the Snow Day Stamp Set, another favorite.
I love to create tags. Tags can use up scraps lickety-split. For instance, the tag base is created from a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock I found lying around already embossed with the Wood Grain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I couldn’t have found a better foundation for this tag.
As you can see this challenge sketch calls for chevrons. Most of the time I use a sketch as a guideline and change things for my supplies. However, this time, the chevrons were exactly what was needed. The Chevron Punch is not on my tool shelf…. yet, so I turned to the Season of Style Paper Pack to give me the perfect cut.
Detail on the little critters was created by coloring directly on the stamp with Many Marvelous Markers. Did you get them while during the Holiday Sale Door-buster Special? If not, I’m sorry. They’re a great way to use color and have all of Stampin’ Up!s colors while building your stamp pads. They also give a hand drawn look to your project. Give them a try!
