Grateful for You
Happy Junior Friday! You know what that means…. Challenge! Today’s challenge is Color Challenge PPA222 from Pals Paper Arts Design Team 1. Perfect combo for your fall gratitude cards. Which brings me to another point. This is post number 500! I’m so grateful for you my loyal followers.
Wild West Paper Arts has had some stalls and restarts, ups and downs and inside outs the last couple of years and you’re still here. Thank you!
Now, back to the challenge at hand. This card was super fun to make. It’s one of those projects that keeps growing. Know what I mean?
Looking at the color palette, Early Espresso was the choice for a foundation to make Calypso Coral and So Saffron POP off the page. For a little texture the base was embossed with the new Filigree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#135818)
Next, a stamp that shows gratitude to celebrate the 500th blog post for Wild West Paper Arts. Hmm, Merry Everything (#135071 clear, #135068 wood) will do just fine. Especially when paired with the Note Tag Punch (#135860). I saved 15% on the bundle! Wahoo! You’ll find it on page 13 of the 2014 Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! The “Grateful for You” image was heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109129) then punched out.
Merry Everything Note Tag Bundle Wood Mount #137635
Merry Everything Note Tag Bundle Clear Mount #137636
The tag needed a bit of help from the other two colors and Fun Fall Framelits (#135856) to stand out. Of course, this was also purchased in the bundle for the 15% savings. Click here to see another project created with the Fall Fest Stamp Set/Fun Fall Framelits Bundle (#137628).
Dimension was added to the leaves by embossing them with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#127821), then sponged with Calypso Coral and So Saffron Classic Ink. FYI Classic Ink Pads are on sale through October 6th. Click here to check out yesterday’s post for more information.
Last, a double bow made of Linen Thread (#104199) was added to the top and little dots of Gold Dazzling Details (#133755) were placed within the filigree edges.
There you have it.

Awesome Rae! I love when a “christmasy” item is used in a different context, very smart!
I love the use of the embossing folder with this Thanksgiving theme. And your leaves steal the show!
Thank you Michelle!
That is really lovely Rae, I’m liking that embossing folder more and more:)
Me too Norma. Thank you!
Those cute leaves peeking out from behind your tag make this card a true keeper! Thanks, Rae!
