Happy Bloomin’ Birthday!
Welcome to another color challenge from Pals Paper Arts! The trio of colors this week are some tried and true primary colors. The remind me of the ocean and the sun. Great choice for a nautical themed project. But let’s get wild and go completely different direction. I say let’s have a Happy Bloomin’ Birthday.
For some reason I’ve been on a mini card or tag kick. Could it be because I got caught short-handed and had to purchase some tags? No, not me. Um hmm. My name is on the Paper Crafter’s Wall of Shame now.
When the Scalloped Tag Topper (#133324) punch came out I really didn’t think it was a necessary tool. However, there were some really cute party favors popping up that just had to be tried so I caved. Boy oh boy am I glad I did. This tool makes short work of projects when you find yourself faced with the wall of shame!
The other thing I realized this year was the lack of floral stamps in my tack room. When the opportunity came up to earn the Bloomin’ with Hope Hostess Set, it was mine! It’s a fantastic set with a wide variety of uses. More on this set on last week’s color challenge post. Click here to read it.
No special techniques were used. Just stamp in Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy ink then go over some of the lines with coordinating Stampin’ Write Markers. The little background dots were done using the small tip of the Night of Navy marker. The tag really came to life with the addition of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (#133751) adhered with the 2-way Glue Pen (#100425).
That’s about it for this project. Make a bunch. You never know when you’ll need to send a Happy Bloomin’ Birthday greeting. Besides, you don’t want your picture plastered on the Paper Crafters Wall of Shame like me. However, I do like visitors.
I almost forget…. check out the Clearance Rack today. New items have just been added. Hurry… run and get the deals before they’re gone!
