Hearts versus Hearts
Hearts versus hearts, punches or thinlets… Yikes! How do I choose? This week the decision is even more difficult… the Heart Border Punch (#133784) is on sale!!!!! I’m so confused!!!
First, a few questions for you.
- Do you need portability?
- Yes? Get the punch.
- No? Consider the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets (#137547)
- Do you have a Big Shot (#113439) and Magnetic Platform (#130658)?
- No? Get the Punch.
- Yes? Get the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Set (#137547).
- Do you have a hard time lining up border punches in a straight line?
- Yes? Consider the Thinlets
- No? Consider the Punch
- Arthritis?
- Yes? Thinlets. Punches, especially border punches, can sometimes be difficult to use if you have arthritis.
Let’s look at the differences.
The Heart Border Punch (#133784) gives you a row of four small hearts with a width about 2-3/4″ wide.
The Hearts Thinlet included in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Set cuts a row of seven larger hearts about 3-5/8″ wide.
To give you an idea of the look, here are a couple previous projects.
The Heart Border Punch was used here to create the border. It lined up and punched twice. The insert is 3-14″ wide.
Advantages?
- Grab & go portability
- No need for additional tools
- Smaller image
Here, the heart plate from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets set passed through the Big Shot once to create the 3-1/2″ image. The border piece is actually 3-3/4″ wide.
Advantages?
- Easy Storage
- Several dies in one set
- Versatility
Sure hope this short product review helps with your Hearts versus Hearts, Thinlets or Punch decision. Don’t forget, the Heart Border Punch is on sale through Monday, February 9, 2014. Check out the rest of this week’s deals by clicking the graphic below.
