Let’s Party with Pals!
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, our blog hop theme is Party Time! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal. Let’s get the party started!
Birthday Party, Wedding Party, Anniversary Party…. you name it, there’s a party for it. How about a Garden Seed Swap Party? You’ll need party favors, right? Actually, this party favor would be good for any spring party, be it Garden, Tea, Mother’s Day… you get the idea.
As you can probably guess, I started thinking of a window to show what’s inside. Unfortunately the seed packet wasn’t playing nice with the Designer Series Paper. No problem, I flipped the oval over to plug the hole. Voila! I like the idea of a surprise instead of a window anyway, Agree?
Open it up to reveal a sweet package of seeds. You could actually put almost anything inside like maybe a bag of tea for a get well gift. You won’t believe how easy this project is.
Nuts & Bolts
Paper Cuts:
- Cardstock: Daffodil Delight 3-1/4″ x 10-1/4″; Thick Basic White1/2″ x 3-1/2″
- Designer Series Paper (DSP): Design a Daydream Host 3″ x 10″
P.S. This DSP is only available as a Host Reward. Ask me or your demonstrator how you can get it FREE!
Construction:
- Center and Adhere the DSP to the Cardstock,
- Score the two layers at 2″, 6: and 7″. Burnish.
- Use an oval die or punch to create the window. (Or non-window if you don’t want to kill the surprise). Set aside for step 5.
- Stamp greeting on Basic White, flag the ends. (I used Blackberry Bliss)
- Center and adhere the greeting piece over the cardstock side of the oval. Adhere over the window.
- Punch holes for the ribbon. I used my Crop-A-Dile.
- Attach the seed packet to the inside of the party favor with a piece of Tear & Tape applied to the top edge of the seed packet only. (see picture above for placement)
- Thread ribbon through the holes and tie in a knot.
How easy was that? Only eight 8 steps! Now it’s your turn. More information on the supplies I used can be found in the Product Showcase below.
One more thing. Please take a moment to leave a message for the hoppers. We really love to hear from you. Click below to leave one now.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on April 12th, when our theme will be Flowers in the Garden, showcasing cards/projects with flowers.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.
