More Happy Thoughts with Paper Pumpkin
Here it is, more Happy Thoughts with Paper Pumpkin June 2015! The more I work with this kit the more potential I see with it. By working a little out of the box you can even create bags and tags. Bags? How in the world?
You’ll start with material to make the suggested card and envelope below. The following elements were used to create the bag:
- Two Green Envelope Liners
- Two Envelopes (unassembled)
- One Small White Banner piece
- One Flower without Center
- Two Leaves
- One White Circle included in kit
- Twine & ButtonScrap
- Thick Whisper White Cardstock #140272 (2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″)
Creating the Bag:
- Adhere the envelope liners to the OUTSIDE of the envelopes
- Trim the flap off of one envelope (save for another project)
- Assemble the the bag by attaching the sides and bottom of two envelopes together
- Glue the scrap piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock to the bottom to seal off the gaps
- Stamp a Happy Thoughts for You near the bottom of the banner piece
- Adhere to the front of the bag, lining the top edge with the top opening edge of the bag
- Fold flap over
- Assemble flower and attach to the flap.
Isn’t that cute?
Next…. Christmas in July! The pennants included in the kit make perfect little trees and the small banner pieces are good shapes for tags. What do you think?
Last, one more idea using the kraft card base.

Wow, these are so cool! I love the little bag idea that is definitely thinking outside the box! I was looking at the little pennants and stars and thinking Christmas trees too but wasn’t if the colors would work but they sure do! I have yet to really play with my box of goodies and something tells me I will need to make this little bag and at least one of the Christmas tags. The kraft card one is cute as well. Who knows I might make the bag and then put the tags in it as a present with the trees on the front instead of the flower of course. Thanks so much for the great ideas!
Thank you Chris! I agree…. the bag would be super cute with the trees. Give it a whirl!
Love that bag, Rae! You should make this a project for Stamp Camp. Thanks for sharing it!
Thanks Karen! Hmmm…. stamp camp.
