PPA230 Color Challenge with the Pals
It’s here, it’s here…. winter? No, not yet but PPA230 Color Challenge from the Pals is. Ready to play? I fell in love with this whimsical Wintertime Wood Mount Stamp (#136565) but for some reason, haven’t used it. Until now.
The look of this stamp with all it’s little scrolls made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside but it just didn’t feel like a Christmas stamp… and, it isn’t. The surprise is on the inside.
Do you have any winter birthdays to remember? Think about using a non-traditional birthday stamp to make your card extra special. Here, I used snowflakes from the Snow Day digital download for MDS to create a simple statement in the inside.
Wondering why I didn’t use my word processing software for such a simple phrase? Color matching!
Speaking of color matching… how about those pearls?
Use Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities to color the pearls. Don’t forget to let them dry completely. Otherwise you’ll end up with mustard, I mean Cherry Cobbler Ink all over your project.
Make your envelope special too by stamping a partial image on the side.
A few simple details really make a difference.
Now it’s your turn. Get out your Baked Brown Sugar, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla to create something special. Then, upload it to the challenge. Don’t have these exact colors? No problem. You can use similar colors to make your project.
I almost forgot! Stampin’ Up! is filling the Clearance Rack Shelves on Friday, December 5, 2014. Don’t forget to check out the bargains before they’re all gone! Click here for the Clearance Rack.

Having a winter birthday, I really appreciate the beauty of this card. Very elegant and with a surprise. Thanks for having fun with the PALS this week.
I do have December birthdays! Our oldest was born on Christmas Eve and we work hard to make it a separate and special event. Love this card as a birthday card. All the details even down to the envelope makes it very special indeed.
Gorgeous, Rae! I love the envelope detail. A very happy card!
