PPA232 Sketch Challenge with my Pals
Thursday has come and gone but we can still play with Pals Paper Arts. Take a break from your hectic holiday preparation with the PPA232 sketch challenge.
My favorite photopolymer stamp set this year has got to be Christmas Bliss (#138897. The bold sentiments with the touch of modern whimsy make it perfect for a bold sketch like this one.
The bold layers shown on this sketch shout texture to me. Texture equals embossing folders, don’t you think? To follow the whimsical theme of the stamp set, choose a couple different patterns. Since it’s the winter holiday season, I chose textures reminiscent of candy canes (Stylish Stripes #132174) and snowfall (Decorative Dots #133520).
This set really didn’t get the “air time” that other holiday stamps enjoyed this year. So sad. Why? Well, since it was an Online Only set, it wasn’t in the holiday catalog.
If you think it’s a little late to feature a Christmas stamp set for 2014, you would be correct. This is for all of you “next-year preppers”. You know who you are (me too!) We hunt for left-over Christmas boxes, wrapping paper and decorations to store away for next year. Get this one before it retires!
A few more Christmas Bliss ideas. . . .
Watch the Wild West Paper Arts Facebook page this weekend and check the links below for easy solutions to “last minute” gifts this Christmas this year. Don’t forget to take a break and play with us. The PPA232 Sketch Challenge link will close on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at noon Eastern time.
Thank you for visiting today.

Your snowflakes are too cute and I love the snow! Thanks for playing this week, Rae.
Rae, I have this stamp set too but unfortunately have not inked it up as much as I would have liked. You have showcased it here beautifully! I love all your layers, they add so much visual interest! Thanks for playing along with us this week!
Rae, I have this set as well and unfortunately, have not inked it up as much as I would have liked. Your cards really showcases it beautifully. And all your layers add so much visual interest! Thanks for playing along with us this week 🙂
Rae this was one of my favorite sets as well. I love the many textures you created on your card. The striped embossing and the stripe in the DSP. Very cute!
Thank you Michelle!
Happy holidays Rae! I have this set out ready to decorate the polka dot bags tonight. Thanks for an idea of a card too! It is fresh, bright and cheery! Perfect for a dreary winter day! That almost looks like a delicious candy cane with it’s cute stripes. Love the trees on the envelope. I always seem to forget about that. Not this time~! Thanks for all your great ideas and sharing them with us!
Chris,
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones!
