PPA242 Color Challenge with the Pals
PPA242 Color Challenge with the Pals, just in time for St. Patty’s Day, or St. Padraig in the Irish. Garden Green, Gold and Basic Black. Perfect!
As luck would have it I developed an abscess when planning this project. YUK! Since concentration and creativity wasn’t the highest priority, I turned to my “last minute friend” My Digital Studio (MDS). It has rescued me more times than I can count.
Partially created with My Digital Studio and partially with traditional paper crafting elements, this card is a “Hybrid”. Today we’ll focus on the Digital elements.
This printable image is ready to print 8-1/2 x 11. Wait, there’s more!
The best thing about this download is HOW it’s put together for you. You can print it and go OR you can change each element to the color and size you desire. For instance, the original green is Old Olive. Within five minutes it was changed to Garden Green. All of the grey letters and numbers are actually Basic Black with opacity changed. This gives lighter shades of the same color. You can also take an element out and replace it with a name or anything else you’d like. Sure you could assemble this printable image on your own. But why would you when the work is done for you. Such a deal for $1.95! Now thats wild!
The inside is all traditional stamping with some Gold Sequins thrown in for good luck.
Here’s a few other hybrid projects from the past.

I adore this printable! Love what you did with it…especially by adding that adorable button & ribbon embellishment!
Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day! Love the looped ribbon!
Thank you Linda!
I am making combo birthday and St. Patrick’s Day cards and was wondering. Can you remove the Kiss ME line maybe and put a happy birthday? I would have to get a birthday greeting too wouldn’t I? Also, I don’t have a colored printer – can you make the words like an outline and color them in then? This might be a fun time to try it out. But, knowing me, it will be more of a hassle than it’s worth! Just thought I would ask you about this. I love what you created.
Chris,
Yes, you can eliminate any line you want and replace it with another on this Printable. If you pick an Outline Font in MDS, you could color it. Test it first. If you have an inkjet you may have to use Blendabilities or another alcohol marker. If you have a Laser our Watercolor Markers or Aqua Painters will probably work. Sounds like a good topic for me to test. I’ll try to get it done by Sunday. Thanks for the inspiration and glad you liked the card. 🙂
LOVE this MDS hybrid card. Like you said… MDS comes to the rescue. Thanks for joining us this week, Rae!!
Thank you Katy. It has saved my bacon so many times. Mostly when I don’t have time for a stamp set I like to get here or an old one that has expired 🙂 I’ve been able to really downsize my old stamps because of MDS. Yay! More room for the new!
