PPA247 Color Challenge with the Pals
Wow, the PPA247 Color Challenge from Pals Paper Arts sure is a beautiful trio of purples. Perfect trio to showcase the Bokeh technique, don’t you think?
Have you ever wondered how this fun technique got the name Bokeh? Here’s a little information.
In photography, bokeh (BOH-kay) — also sometimes pronounced as /bo-KAY/ BOH-k, Japanese: [boke]) is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light”.
Many of the Bokeh tutorials I’ve seen show using Sponge Daubers to apply the ink. I like this method a little better for small projects. Ready…. just use the eraser at the end of a wooden pencil. Make sure the erase is as flat as possible, and clean. Stamping off will give you the lighter tones.
Try this fun and easy technique with Sponge Daubers and different colors too. Now it’s time to head over for more inspiration from Design Team 2 at Pals Paper Arts.
And don’t forget,,,, FREE shipping through April 10, 2015! Now’s the time to get the little things on your wish list. This is a GREAT time to stock up on the outgoing “In-Color” products before they’re gone. No minimum order. Free shipping on EVERYTHING except expedited orders. Better hurry, this special doesn’t happen often.
