Smile…
Smile…. you know what comes next…. “You’re on Candid Camera!”
If you read my Spring Cleaning in the Wild West post yesterday, you know that there’s a lot of dust settling around the Tack Room (aka dungeon when it needs cleaning). Here’s another card kit that kept getting pushed around. It’s from the 2013 Stampin’ Up! Convention Pals Swap. My Pal didn’t have time to put it together so gave it in “shoebox” form. Trouble was, I didn’t know what it was supposed to look like!
All pieces except ribbon and camera elements were folded and tucked neatly into a plastic sleeve. But, a critical element was missing, the picture and instructions. I had no clue which stamp to use either. Seems that there was a conversation about an email being sent at some point but that doesn’t help me a year later. Argh! Why did I wait so long?
After looking at it upside down, inside out, standing on my head, and other contorted positions, the cute Designer Series Paper started to speak to me. It clearly said “I am ME so let me be!
Hmm, how about a camera on the front flap?
Now the inside. Sometimes that’s the most difficult part of a card. “Here’s lookin’ at you kid”, or possibly a picture and caption were all front-runners. Then, while putting a stamp set away the word “Smile”, part of the Happy Day Stamp Set jumped out. How perfect is that?
All in all, this project really came out well. But, take it from me, don’t wait for spring cleaning to tackle these little kits. It’s soooo stressful. Barbara C., if you’re reading this, I hope I’ve done your kit justice.
