SOHO Subway Grunge
Feeling a bit grungy? If not, this SOHO Subway Grunge project should get you there. Hmmm, is that a good thing?
It’s rodeo time in Reno so I’m feelin’ the need to share some good ol’ western grunge. How did she come up with grunge from this sketch, you ask? Easy. Stars make me think first of Red, White & Blue and next of Wyatt Earp and Matt Dillon, you get the picture. Put that together with a little “yeeha” and voila, wild west grunge!
The first stamp set that made it’s way to my tack room from the new Stampin’Up! Catalog (via Mr. Brown) is Really Good Greetings.
I love the varied fonts and phrases in this friendly stamp set.The next item I found hard to resist is the SOHO Subway Designer Series Paper.
Check out the weathered blue wood grain pattern on one of the sheets. Fantastic!
As you can probably tell, rustic is one my favorite words. In modern lingo “rustic” must equal “grunge.” Somehow, I always feel like I need a bath after doing a grunge project. Maybe I should think about crafting indoors instead of in the barn. But, would it still be grunge?
No self-respecting grunge project would be complete without a whole lotta’ distressing. Bring in Stampin’Up!’s nifty Stampin’ Distress Tool to make short work of this technique. Sure saves the fingernails!
What do you think? Are you feeling a little grungy now? Don’t forget to check out all of the entries on the Mojo Monday blog. Better yet, link up and post one of your own creations. It’s easy, give it a try!
I’m off to clean-up for dinner, I can hear the bell!
