Spiders and Owls and Pals, Oh My!
Welcome all. Come close and listen carefully.
Beware. You may find spiders and owls and Pals, oh my! Surprises await for those who dare to enter.
If you’ve hopped over from Debbie Crowley at Expressively Deb, stop number 5, you are in the right spot. If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog. You won’t want to miss a stop!
The wise, old owl can sure be spooky at times. Even though he has piercing orange eyes, he’s really as sweet as can be. You see, he holds a sweet treat inside. He’s guarded by two spider friends to make sure your treat gets where it’s supposed to go.
Today I have a Trick for everyone and a Treat for one lucky winner. First, here’s the trick. I call it the Washi Twist.
You may have seen the Washi Tape Twist Ties around but have you ever seen them used like this? Some people make their own from scratch with spools of wire and washi tape. I’d much rather repurpose the multitude of twist ties taking residence in my junk drawer. Here you go. Easy as 1, 2, 3.
Trim the extra paper from the sides of the Twist Ties, and you can lay them side-by-side on the washi tape for a smaller tie. Thank you to my good friend Janell for telling me about this fantastic technique.
Now for the Treat. One winner will receive a Kit for the projects in this post (Owl Treat Bag and both Spiders) and some fun surprises.
