The Power of Two
Here it is, my first official project since the great fall! Thanks to a our Pals Color Challenge #PPA187 and a sketch it was easier than I anticipated. Let’s hear it for Color Challenges & Sketches, the power of two! Time-savers for sure.
Sure, I may be in a temporary predicament that makes projects take longer. But, aren’t we all busy? It’s so easy to blame time. If there’s one lesson that has come from the accident it’s time management and patience.
A big part of simplifying a card is the use of punches. Here, you see the bold Chevron Border Punch, introduced in the 2013 Holiday Catalog.
This border punch makes a solid statement for sure.
Sometimes simple projects seem to “need something”. Perfect time to pull out your Paper Piercing Tools. Piercing a simple pattern around two of the open corners pulls everything together without adding weight.
Now it’s your turn to put these tips to work. Then, join us for the Pals Color Challenge this week. You’ll see a new face on the design team too.

This is wonderful! I love the way you used the chevron punch. Really great looking card!
Thank you Trish!
It looks like you have some texture on the red peeking through the chevrons. What did you use for that?
Susan…. I see that but I didn’t use anything. It’s probably a result of one-handed photography and pain pills. LOL!
What a fun card!! I hope you feel better soon!!! Looks like I “must” get this chevron punch!! My Pals are such enablers!!!
Thank you Amy! I wasn’t going to take the plunge until I saw the article i Nov/Dec Stampin’Success. Happy to be your enabler. 🙂
Rae, hope you are healing quick! The chevron side traeatment is great and the paper piercing is a perfect touch!
Thank you Diane!
