Thoughtful Thank You

It’s almost here, that time of year when leaves turn beautiful colors of precious metals and cinnamon. The smells of autumn baking and warmth of family and friends surround us. The perfect time for a thoughtful thank you.
This is probably my favorite time of year for papercrafting. Since I tend to use earth tones, I feel right at home. A combination of the Thoughtful Branches Bundle, individually placed sequins from Gold Sequin Trim and a tiny bit of Gold Foil as well as a couple of new products (Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper and Gold Bakers’s Twine) make this card shine. Sorry, if you’re not a demonstrator you can’t get the new products until September. If you just can’t wait, I’d love to have you as part of the Wild West Crafters. We’re a sub-group of Mary Fish’ Stampin’ Pretty Pals. Click here to get started.
There are three more products that add to the sparkle not mentioned above. Can you find them?
This card is easier to create than it looks.
The Background is created with Gorgeous Grunge and three colors of Classic Ink – Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Soft Sky.
Leaves. A few simple steps put together look complicated. Shh… don’t tell anyone you didn’t labor over this for hours. Your secret’s safe with me.
- Sponge Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Old Olive lightly to a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Let dry.
- Stamp the leaf (blossom) cluster over the top of your sponged piece with VersaMark.
- Sprinkle Gold and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder over the VersMark and heat emboss.
- Die-cut the piece using the coordinating leaf cluster die.
- Sponge the edges of this piece with Early Espresso Classic Ink.
Sparkle & Shine!
- Use the blossom Thinlit as a template to cut Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper. Attach to “Leaves” created above with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach gold sequins randomly with Fine-tip Glue Pen.
- Attach three little leaves cut from Gold Foil Sheet and Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper to Thank You banner. The top leaf is stamped on Very Vanilla. Top the leaf cluster off with a heart Metallic Enamel Shape.
- Wrap Gold Baker’s Twine around lower portion of card, tie in a bow. Secure with a little Fine-Tip Glue.

Beautiful card Rae. As much as I love fall, I’m always sad to see the warmth of summer fade. Summer is a short run in Wisconsin!
Thank you Sue. I bet you savor every warm day up there.
Another “Beautiful” card. Fall is in the air.
Thank you Janell…. and the plums are almost ready for picking!
What a rich, beautiful card! Bring on fall!
Thank you Mary Lou…. don’t forget the falling fruit, at least in my yard. It’s already started! LOL
Gorgeous if not just plain stunning! Fall is my favorite time of year though it tells me winter will be close behind. Love the pumpkin glimmer paper and all the other metallic finishes. Love the little heart stuck in there! Just a breath of fresh ait!
Thank you Chris! Another thing we have in common…. Autumn. So glad you like it.
