Wonderful Wonderland Stamp Set
Today I’m excited to share this wonderful wonderland card created by Karen Gooch of InkersWorkshop.com fame. Karen is also one of the Wild West Crafters group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. You’ll create this beautiful “single step” card at our Holiday Stamp Camp on September 26, 2015.
The stamp set Karen used is the Wonderland Stamp Set (item 139752 wood mount; or item 140365 clear mount) found on page 23 of the 2015 Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! Invite peace and serenity into your holiday season with pine-adorned cards and scrapbook pages. The images in this set add gentleness and beauty to any project. Karen’s beautiful creations used traditional colors to warm any heart. Turn to page 22 of the catalog and you’ll notice it’s part of an entire suite of products called Winter Wonderland.
Here’s a side view of Karen’s card showing the fold you’ll learn at the Holiday Stamp Camp.
Make a dramatic statement by using a bolder color pallet. Click Here to see a completely different approach at using this set.
Now that the Holiday Catalog has gone “live” we can display actual products linking directly to the item, like the image below. Yay!
The Wonderland Stamp Set almost didn’t make Rae’s Top 10 Faves list yesterday. It did take a few extra looks. Why? Well, the tree looks so much like an image in the old (tried and true) Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set (item 128655 wood mount; item 127793 clear mount) and, like you, I try to make the most of what’s already in my tack room (aka tool shed, work bench, etc).
What made kicked me over the edge? After making my long list of pros and cons (do you do this?), I couldn’t live without all of the other images in the set. How about you? Would you include this set in your “must haves” even if you owned a similar set?
Karen uses a lot of other elements for the new catalog too. To see what she used just check out the Wonderful Wonderland Product Round-up at the bottom of this post.
Thank you for joining me for this review of the Wonderful Wonderland Stamp Set. Don’t forget, you’ll make this card at our Holiday Stamp Camp on September 26, 2015 in Reno, Nevada. See you there!
Hi Rae, I couldn’t find your email address on your blog, maybe I overlooked it. But I wanted to thank you for the great tutorial for the Minion card! I made one over the weekend for a birthday card & he’s just so stinkin’ cute!
Thank you again!
Tracey
Beautiful! Thanks for showing us more of her great work! I subscribed to her blog now so I won’t miss anything. Your Holiday Stamp Camp seems like a great idea with lots of fun projects. So wish I lived closer or you were closer to me anyway!
Thank you Chris. Yes, Karen is very talented. I love her work!
