Blissful Pumpkin Bouquet
Are you scratching your head wondering how this project has anything to do with a pumpkin? I have to admit the title is a little misleading. Unless, of course, you’re a Paper Pumpkin Head! If you are, you’ll know the October 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit is called “Blissful Bouquet”. Insert a pumpkin in the middle and there you have it… one Blissful Pumpkin Bouquet. Stop with the rotten tomatoes already!
This month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit honored Breast Cancer Awareness Month in more ways than one. Stampin’ Up! created this beautiful kit delivered in a bright pink box AND donated $1.00 for every subscriber. If the subscriber signed during the promotion, the donation was bumped to $2.00. Fantastic!
The sample you see here couldn’t be further from the suggested kit samples. However, there were no additional product used. It’s all in the pretty pink box. I did use a few basic tools.
- 1/8″ Circle Hole Punch (item 134365)
- Bone Folder (item 102300)
- Paper Piercing Tool (item 126189)
- Paper Snips (item 103579)
See if you can figure out where these tools were used.
Hint: The flowers look water colored, right? Not at all. One of the sheets of card stock supplied in the kit has a water color wash over it. Just a little fussy cutting and voila! Flowers!
Need more inspiration? Check out the Paper Pumpkin Patch on Facebook for more alternate projects. PSST… After finishing up, I still have leftovers from the kit! Who doesn’t love leftovers?!

Blissful Pumpkin Bouquet Product Roundup:
Love, love, love your idea of watercoloring the latest Paper Pumpkin flower image!!!
Shall try something like that also, as I always try to make different cards than
the projects that are provided! Nicely done! 🙂
Jennifer, SU demo, Calgary, Alberta< Canada
Thank you Jennifer! Guess what? I didn’t watercolor those flowers. I stamped one of the sheets of pre-printed card stock included in the kit, then cut them out. Super Easy!
Rae, your alternatives are great! I love this card with the flowers popping up. The envelope is so sweet! I checked out the patch and the facebook part. I don’t usually put the kit together as they instruct but love doing the alternatives. You bet I will be CASEing this one for sure! I really like the flower stamps in this set this time and the sentiments! That water colored card is really cool. I saw someone took the big watercolor stamp and colored it with the two inks to make more that are similar. She put some bare trees on there and it looked really awesome. I can try and find who it was if you want me to. Oh, what did you use on the centers of the flowers?
Chris, I would love the photo. Please email it. Sounds beautiful.
The flower centers are made by punching little circles with the 1/8″ Circle Punch, then gluing them on. Thanks for asking!
