Suite Sayings Birthday
Fun and a little funky, this Suite Sayings Birthday card is perfect for the next lucky person on your birthday list.
This is another card from the 30 Day Card Challenge I took part in last month, remember? There was one self-imposed rule. They couldn’t be planned ahead and needed to be fairly quick so I could stay on task. Many times, scraps were used. The Kraft Cardstock scraps used here, were leftovers from a Stamp Camp last year. Love when little scrap treasures can be used.
The paper I used is part of the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack. It has an Art Deco feel, like some of the classic movie houses of the day.
The Loops: Cups & Kettles Framelits Dies has some interesting little accent pieces, like the loopy sides you see here.
The Curves: Who doesn’t like a curve or two? The curves on the tag are compliments of the Curvy Corner Trio Punch. This punch makes it super easy to add some curves to a standard tag.
Finish the tag with Watermelon Wonder Classic Ink and some Basic Pearls.
The Bow: Create it with 1″ Watermelon Wonder Stitched Satin Ribbon. This ribbon is so beautiful and a perfect pairing for the Shine On Specialty Paper.

What a fun use of the cutouts from the cup! I ordered that punch from my demo and need to pick it up – she has had it over a month. Anyway, I need to remember to make the tag using it – such a fun and simple idea. I love this fun card and we could come up with all kinds of color combinations! Thanks again for more great ideas!
