Picture Perfect Basket for Spring
Picture Perfect Basket for Spring
Welcome to the Pals March 2018 Blog Hop. Our theme this month is “Spring has Sprung”. Get ready for some Stampin’ Pretty Pals spring inspiration. There could be floral, Easter or other spring-inspired designs throughout the hop. You may be just starting the hop or hopped over from another Pal’s blog. In either case you’ll find the blog hop line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.
If you need a quick little basket for Easter, here’s the answer. The best part is, it’s easy! So, let’s get started.
Supplies:
- Thick Whisper White Cardstock – One 8-1/2 x 11 sheet
- Whisper White Cardstock – One 8-1/2 x 11 sheet
- Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 6 x 12 piece
- Basket Weave Embossing Folder (Sale-A-Bration Reward)
- Bow Builder Punch
- Corner Rounder Punch
- Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Instructions:
- Cut 1 piece 6″ x 6″ Thick Whisper White Cardstock. Score at 2? and 4? then turn the square 90 degrees and repeat. You’ll have nine 2″ squares if you’ve done it correctly.
- Round corners
- Determine the left and right sides of the square.
- Cut the middle square on the both sides just to the score line. Do NOT cut it completely off. Repeat for the opposite side.
- Cut 8 squares of Whisper White Cardstock. Each will be 1-7/8″ square. Round corners on four of them. Emboss all 8 pieces with the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder (a free Sale-A-Bration reward!) Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to affix to each square of basket except the center square..
- Fold sides up to create the basket and affix the sides with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Create a handle with matching card stock and DSP. The handle shown here is 1″ x 10″ Whisper White and 1/2″ x 10″ DSP. Adhere to basket with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Create two bows with Bow Builder Punch. The bows shown here are two layers, Attach one to each side where the handle joins the basket.
- Fill with paper shreds and goodies.
Result, a picture perfect basket for your Easter celebration.
Four years ago I created the same basket with current Designer Series Paper from that year. Click Here to see the original basket.
