Welcome to the Pals Fun Fold Blog Hop – January 2022 where we hope to inspire you to create “Outside the Fold”.
I love this accordion style fold. A simple fold with a giant WOW factor. Clean or complicated, it’s up to you.
Let’s get started with this super fun fold.
Here’s what you need.

- Pale Papaya Cardstock: 5-1/2 x 8-1/4 (this is the card base)
- Hand Penned DSP: 1 piece 4 x 5-1/4; 1 piece 1-7/8 x 5-1/4; additional pieces for die-cutting leaves
- Basic White Thick Cardstock: 2 pcs 1-3/4 x 3-1/8 or Die Cut with Stitched Rectangles

- Artistically Inked Bundle
- Stitched Rectangle Dies
- Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine
- Stampin’ Up! Trimmer
- Take Your Pick Tools & Brush Tip

- Tear & Tape
- Stampin’ Seal

| Embellishments: |

- Genial Gems
- 8″ Open Weave Ribbon (I used Soft Succulent)

| Instructions: |
- Score card base at 4-1/4 and again at 2-1/8. Fold in a “Z” shape
- Adhere DSP pieces to card base
- Die-cut several leaf fronds from floral pieces in Hand Penned DSP
- Stamp “Thanks” on one of the Basic White Thick Cardstock pieces. Affix several strips of Tear & Tape to the back of this piece.
- Arrange and adhere the leaves to the piece in step 4 making sure that no leaf extends more than 1-3/8″ above the top of the piece. Adhere this piece to the front of the card 1″ from the bottom edge.
- Affix the 2nd piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock behind the front piece. Use additional adhesive where necessary.
- Embellish with gems and ribbon.

I love this! The colors and DSP are perfect. My favorite is the leaves cut from the DSP! It gives the great colors but hints at texture. Can’t wait to try it.
