Dramatic Embossed Sunflowers

This card appeared while looking for an idea for the new Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder from Stampin’ Up! ® little shabby, a little messy and a lot wild. buzzing around the web
The inside has a little fun as well.

All measurements are in inches.
Finished Size – A2 (4-1/4 x 5-1/2)
Acronyms & Jargon
- CAS = Clean And Simple
- CASE = Copy And Share Everything
- CS = Cardstock
- DSP = Designer Series Paper (aka patterned paper)
- SDSP = Specialty Designer Series paper
- SIP = Stamp Paper Ink
Paper Cuts
- Cardstock –
- Basic Black:
- 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
- Basic White:
- Writing Panel – 4 x 5-1/4
- Darling Duckling:
- Layer 1 – 4 x 5-1/4
- Layer 2 – 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 (this is the embossed layer)
- Basic Black:
- Other Supplies –
- Embellishments & Ribbon
- Memento Ink – Tuxedo Black
- Sunflowers 3D Embossing Flower
- Stampin Blends – Mossy Meadow & Pecan Pie
Construction
- Front –
- Fold and burnish card base.
- Layer 1 – Adhere with Stampin’ Seal or other adhesive.
- Layer 2 – Emboss with Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder
- Turn layer 2 over (Debossed side up). Use Stampin’ Blends to color in leaves and sunflower centers.
- Turn layer back over (Embossed side up). Rub Memento Ink pad over the card until you achieve the look you like.
- Wrap ribbon around Layer 2, tie bow and adhere to Layer 1 with Seal or other adhesive. Embellish as desired
- Inside –
- Writing Panel – Tear a piece of complimenting patterned paper. Adhere to the Basic White writing panel.
- Stamp sentiment.
- Adhere with Stampin’ Seal or other adhesive.
Crafty Tips from the Wild West
- Try this technique on the debossed side too. You’ll rub the ink on first then color. All on the same side. Add more color for a beautiful effect.
