Throw WAY-back Thursday: “Oh Christmas Tree”
Need ideas for quick cards this holiday season? With today’s edition of “Throw WAY-back Thursday” you will have them done in no time at all.

Many of the products used in this creation are retired, including ink colors. However, I can think of at least one stamp set and several colors that work just as well. More on that toward the end of this post.
Original post from December 12, 2013 starts here.
Are your Christmas cards in the mail? No? You say they aren’t even made? Well, you’re not alone. All you need is a card that can be quickly, mass produced like Oh Christmas Tree shown here. The colors for this week’s Pals Paper Arts challenge are perfect. You can get your cards done and still have time to play with the Pals this week. Sweet!
It took me a few tries to come up with the large tree. Originally it was going to be a folded tree but It just didn’t come together as well as I envisioned. Here’s a look at the creative process.
The Creative Process PPA183
As you can see I originally had different stamps in mind. The largest snowflake in the Festive Flurry Stamp Set finally won the battle.

To give the center tree a little dimension without bulk I scored it down the center and propped it up with dimensionals placed under the scoreline. It was then topped off with a Silver Glimmer star tinted by using a Sponge Dauber and Rose Red ink.
The little trees were created with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch then embossed with the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The tree toppers were kept simple to keep the large tree the main focus.

The cute sentiment stamp was part of the November, 2013 Paper Pumpkin Kit.
Better get going to finish up those cards!
