Throw WAY-back Thursday: Simply Thankful
Welcome to another Throw WAY-back Thursday. A walk down memory lane to inspire you. Today we travel back to September 9, 2020. We all know what was going on that year, right? This card was created for a blog hop that month. The theme was “It’s the Sentiment that Counts.” The phrase “Simply Thankful” was so appropriate that year and it’s still relevant today.

Let’s start with an excerpt from the original post.
The right word at the right time, can make all the difference in the world. Positive or negative, words can set the tone for the day, a relationship, you name it. Pair a great phrase with the beautiful colors of autumn and you have one great card.
By now you probably know that I lean toward rustic and vintage themes. The “Old World Paper” 3D embossing folder is great for that. For this project, I inked the folder up with Early Espresso before running the paper through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. Tattered edges were done with our Paper Snips and edges were sponged with more Early Espresso ink.
Color inspiration comes from a favorite combination of mine, Pool Party and Early Espresso with some added zing by die cutting the leaves from Rainbow Glimmer Paper.
Finish it off with the beautiful Blue Adhesive Backed Gems and Sheer Pool Party ribbon.
Don’t forget the inside. Keep it simple with plenty of room to craft just the right group of words.
The details…
Final size = A2 (4-1/4 x 5-1/2) Cardstock Cuts: Base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (scored at 4-1/4). First layer 4 x 5-5-1/4. Top Layer 3-7/8 x 5-1/8. Greeting layer Very Vanilla Scrap. Inside layer – Very Vanilla 5-1/4 x 4..
That’s it for me today. Until next time, stay safe and have fun in your craft room.
Rainbow Glimmer Paper is no longer available but maybe you have some in your stash. If not, try creating a pretty rainbow sheet with ink or Watercolor Pencils and a Water Painter brush (formerly called Aqua Painter). Let it dry and die cut it with the Beautiful Motifs dies or another foliage die.
Whatever you choose for your card, enjoy to process.
Thank you for joining me for this trip down memory lane.
Enjoy and have a wildly creative day!

lovely!
Thank you so much Paula.
