My Pumpkin Harvest
It’s been a while since I’ve played with a Mojo Monday Sketch but MOJO 316 really got the old imagination churning. Ideas ranged from a harvest moon to a big snowflake and even a big lacy doily came into play. In the end My Pumpkin Harvest one out. Good thing because that’s the only pumpkin harvest around here this year.
This one is for all of you that purchased the Honeycomb Embossing Folder while it was on sale for Thank You Thursday. And, for all of you that save bits and pieces of ribbon and paper for future projects.
One of the scraps I seem to be loading up on is the selvage edge trimmed from our beautiful 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon. Why in the world do I trim it? The threads are super for that “something extra” behind leaves and other natural embellishments. Click here for an example.
The selvage edge works really well for the stem on pumpkins as shown here. I just love to put bits and pieces to work.
More scraps? The little flag tails were “throw-a-ways” from trying different colors for the Thankful For You mini-flag. What looks like a green patterned designer series paper behind the banner is actually the last remaining piece of Season of Style Washi Tape.
How about a lonely, retired button left from last year’s catalog?
The stamp set used is a Hostess Set called Banner Greetings. A greeting for almost everything that fits almost anywhere. But, only available as a Stampin’ Rewards Hostess Set. Click here to learn more about Stampin’ Rewards.
Before you go, here’s a couple important reminders.

Love this card!
Thank you Paula… does it remind you of the scrapbook pages we did a few weeks ago?
What a great card, Rae!
Thank you Mary Lou!
Cynthia,
The large pumpkin only uses the Extra-Large Oval Punch. The small pumpkin uses the Small Oval Punch. Colors are Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie. All edges are distressed with Cajun Craze.
I’ll be doing a mini tutorial for the pumpkins later this week. Probably Thursday.
Happy Pumpkin Harvest!
Rae
Thank you for the response Rae, can’t wait to try this! I also love the detail with the stem and candy dot on the button!
You’re welcome! Yes, I agree those candy dots add the perfect “something extra”. Have fun!
Love this!! Did you use one or two different size punches for the large pumpkin, what colors used for it, and which punch was that used for the small pumpkin?
Very nice! Love the rich colors you chose. Also, great use of the snippets of ribbons and paper. I really like those touches of color with the burlap. Love that touch of color of the candy dot on the button. I must remember that trick! Great job as usual! Thanks for sharing it with us! Oh wait, I just noticed the stem of the pumpkins! Ah, it is all in the details!
