Blended Brusho Blossoms in a Basket
Blended Brusho Blossoms in a Basket
What in the world are blended Brusho blossoms? Let me introduce you to a beautiful basket of blooms created with the new Blossoming Blooms Sale-A-Bration Bundle. Information on how you can earn this bundle FREE later in this post.
- Start with watercolor paper and make a Brusho Crystal Colour mess. Then, stamp over the mess to see if you can fix it.
- Disguise the mess by coloring the flowers with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. I used Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler here.
- Apply a layer of Clear Wink of Stella over the flowers, let dry.
- Fussy cut the entire mess out, focusing on the flowers.
- Cut the three flowers away from each other. You’ll see why later..
Now that the mess is cleaned up let’s finish the blossom basket.
Stamp the basket on a clean piece of Shimmery White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Color in the basket and leaves with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I used Bronze and Ivory for the basket. Leaves were colored with Old Olive.
Create a bouquet by adhering the two smaller blossoms with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (aka Tombow). Then adhere the large, center blossom with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add vellum branches (Petals & More Thinlits Dies) and snips of Linen thread using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach.
Interesting little specks you see on the flowers is not a dirty lens. It IS the light catching glimmer specks from the Wink of Stella.
The background is created by inking the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder with Crumb Cake Classic ink before embossing the cardstock. All background layers were inked with Crumb Cake ink and distressed using the blade of my Paper Snips. Be careful, these little guys are sharp.
Focal Point Layers are created using both the Layering Squares and Stitched Shapes Framelits with the Big Shot.
Inside you’ll find the last two stamps in the set proving you CAN use every stamp on one project.
I love that Stampin’ Up! decided to add a bundle to the Sale-A-Bration Free Gift line-up. The 3d Dynamic Embossing Folder had me hooked. Wouldn’t it be great if this one carried over to the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog? I’ve never seen a Sale-A-Bration set carry over (not that I know everything!) but who knows? Write your congressman or woman, tell the world but most importantly TELL STAMPIN’ UP! if you’d really like to see this one become an item to purchase. On second thought, please don’t involve congress. I don’t think they’d see the humor in my comment.

Blended Brusho Blossoms Product Roundup:
I still think this is a fantastic card, prettier every time I see it! I can’t believe you used that Brusho stuff then stamping over the “mess” and then using the blender pens for the flowers. Amazing and just beautiful! Love it!
Thanks a million Chris. This was one of those “works in progress” experiments. Watch for me to do some more Brusho experiments in the near future. Glad you like it.
